Take Me Home, Country Roads

Tomorrow, I'm coming back home to Isabela.

It's been a while since I last set foot on my hometown. The last time I was there was 3 weeks ago. Hahaha. Seriously, I cannot wait to be back home for the second time this month. Never mind that the bus trip could take as long as 12 hours, ten if you're lucky. Getting off that bus, stepping on the provincial soil and filling your lungs with fresh clean air the moment you arrive - and the long cold bus ride is so worth it.

I am sure that I'm going to be doing the same things I do there everytime I come back. Eat, sleep, play with/talk to the animals, get in touch with my gardener self (I'm so good at this), visit the relatives, eat some more, sleep some more... but I'm still leaving some room for spontaneity.

I'm excited. When I was young, all I dreamt about was leaving for Manila one day. Now that I live in the city, I always long for the sights, sounds, smell and taste of home.
