The Farm Boy Guide to Free Movies

First of all, this is not a paid post haha. I am just a fan of things that really do work. And SM's e-Plus card is one of them.

I remember getting one simply because they were giving away free popcorn. I am easy. A few days of using it, I realized it's good for two things:

1) Skipping the long line because SM Cinemas have priority lanes for cardholders, and
2) No more pockets full of coins because you pay electronically (for some reason, SM Cinema cashiers get mad when you don't have exact amount or "smaller bill" then they get even by giving you a handful of one peso coins as change).

(Alternative to number 1: Bring a parent with a Senior Citizen ID)

Two weeks ago, I used the card at SM City Cauayan (Ant-Man is so good, watch it) then the girl at the counter congratulated me for winning free movie tickets. I'm not sure if I won it, or I earned it with the points, but she said congratulations so I was confused. So today I claimed my ticket at SM San Lazaro and got the surprise of my life. Guy presents e-Plus card, you'll never guess what happens next. Actually you can guess. I found out I have, not one but two free movie tickets. I pretended to be not excited about it.

With my free movie ticket, I watched (alone and it's not weird, ok? Society makes it look weird) Mission: Impossible. Movie is good, watch it. Word of caution though - it's one of those guy movies where you get to watch with couples with the girl asking "Ano sabi n'ya?", "Ano nangyari?" "Bakit ganun?" all throughout the movie. So stay away from the couples!

Especially if you're alone.
